Welcome to 2012, may this year brings you happiness in fullest measure.

 2012 is a year of patriotism, a year that will be marked in history with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and the arrival of the greatest sporting event in the world on our shores

It is a great honour for me that I am part of London New Year's Day Parade 2012, representing Hackney, one of the five Olympic Games host Boroughs.

 We have been eagerly waiting for 2012 in Hackney and here it is, with all the enthusiasm and prospects. Hackney is looking forward to all the excitement of the games and the new challenges and I am sure that we will thrive and celebrate in style.
